Software for illegal devices (for piracy) that is downloaded risks exposing personal data, as well as being exposed to pornographic content and online gambling activities. 

According to Datuk Azmir Saifuddin as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FINAS, this endangers the safety of consumers, families and the community.

"These devices or the software we download, they contain backdoors in the software that can access our personal data, our home devices.

"And one thing that surprised me was that the device, the box, can record audio without us realizing it. If we buy, subscribe to these devices, we don't realize that our home is being invaded," he shared. 

In the same sharing, Azmir also said that children are also susceptible to illegal websites such as pornography and gambling. 

"If the boys, our children have access, there is no limit. They can access porn websites, websites that lead to online gambling. 

"Sometimes our parents don't realize that this thing is a danger. Sometimes it's dangerous. Not just to the audience, but to the family, the community and so on," he said.
