Mount Rajah – Get to Witness the Richness of Our Flora!

Mount Rajah located in Bentong, Pahang has a height of 1683 meters. Mount Rajah (Bentong) is rich with flora which has a medical value. In 2004, this mountain gained a lot of attention for group hiking. Hikers can expect all kind of challenges such as steep, rough ascents and narrow trails. 

Gunung Rajah trail is through The Chamang Waterfalls which is about 8km from Bentong Town, hikers will enjoy breathtaking waterfalls and phenomenal view. Most importantly, wild purple orchids and Ferns maze will greet everyone along the trail. 

Gunung Rajah also has the most varieties of known herbal plants, such as Kacip Fatimah (Labisia pumila) and Tongkat Ali (Eurycoma longifolia). The view is also magnificent at the top, with an amazing view of Genting Highlands with clouds in between. 

On a clear day, one can also see as far as Fraser’s Hill and Kuala Kubu Dam from the top. Don’t miss the 5th episode of One Step higher this week on 13th Oct at 8:00 pm on Astro Vaanavil.
