Football is often about untapped talent. Drive past any housing area and you are likely to see a young boy or teenager dribbling past his opponents and scoring a spectacular goal, without being noticed by professional scouts.

However, Sarveshvaraa Rishi Kumar, 9, has had a little luck on his side. The pint-sized footballer was spotted by chance by Setia Alam FC manager Shazwan Wong, playing barefooted with boys double his size and age, at a field in Setia Alam in Selangor, recently.

Impressed by the little boy's skills, Shazwan invited Sarvesh to train with him at his club, as well as the training grounds of Selangor FC.
In the video, Sarvesh can be seen clad in full football gear - from training vest to boots, dribbling past an opponent about his age, and scoring a goal. Shazwan ended the video by saying "exciting times ahead for Sarvesh and FC Setia Alam", but did not elaborate further.

Congratulations little Sarvesh on being noticed for your talent!

Let's hope Shazwan, with his vast experience in the local football arena, will take Sarvesh to greater heights, and in the process, discover more young talents in the field.
