Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur’s upcoming film Jersey is set to release soon. Ahead of the release, she opened up about her struggle with depression and getting suicidal thoughts during the lowest phase of her life.
Talking to Ranveer Allahbadia, Mrunal shared that when she would travel by local train during her college years, the thought of jumping off the train would sometimes cross her mind.

Referring to her own life, Mrunal said that her parents wished her to be a dentist, but she persuaded them to let her seek a degree in mass communication. However, Mrunal was completely bewildered when the course did not meet her expectations. She also discussed living alone in Mumbai at the time and how that contributed to her difficulties. However, despite her self-doubt, Mrunal was always confident in her abilities.

“At that time, I used to think that if I didn’t do this well, I would be nowhere. I thought I would be married off at 23 and have kids, and that is exactly what I did not want. I wanted to do something different and I would give auditions back then. There were many points where I felt like I was good for nothing,” she said.

Looking back at her struggles, its good to see that it's finally paid off as she becomes a self established actress with her hard work and determination. As they say, don't give up when the going gets tough as there's always light at the end of a tunnel :)
