Sebagai persiapan bagi menjayakan wataknya dalam filem "Hurdang", aktres Nushrat Bharucha telah melawat beberapa buah kolej di Allahabad.
Di sana, dia telah bertemu dengan para pelajar serta cuba memahami suasana di kolej bagi mendapatkan gambaran keseluruhan mengenai sistem pendidikan.
Nushrat menganggap penting untuk dia mendalami wataknya dengan cara memerhati kehidupan harian para pelajar di kolej dan bagaimana mereka menempuh apa-apa cabaran sepanjang melanjutkan pelajaran.
Filem "Hurdang" adalah berdasarkan 'Mandal Commission' yang ditubuhkan oleh kerajaan pada 1979 bagi mengenalpasti kasta sosial dan pendidikan yang semakin mundur di India.
Ia juga mengisahkan tentang para pelajar yang ingin menuntut hak mereka serta diselitkan dengan sebuah kisah cinta yang terjalin di pertengahan jalan cerita filem tersebut.
"Kami telah pergi ke Prayagraj tiga ke empat hari sebelum penggambaran bermula dan saya turut berinteraksi bersama para pelajar untuk memahami mereka dengan lebih mendalam.
"Pelajar lelaki di situ juga memberi gelaran 'mukammal gazal' kepada saya dan ia agak menarik," ujar Nushrat yang dipetik dari laporan Times of India.
Tambahnya lagi, mereka turut mengadakan sesi shayari di mana mereka duduk di sekeliling aktres itu dan menyampaikan puisi.
Nushrat menganggap ia satu pengalaman manis yang tidak boleh dilupakan serta menyifatkan mereka sebagai individu yang sangat penyayang dan baik hati.
Diarahkan oleh Nikhil Nagesh, "Hurdang" adalah sebuah kisah cinta berlatar belakang tahun 1990-an. Selain Nushrat, ia turut dibintangi Sunny Kaushal dan Vijay Varma.
Dalam pada itu, dia kini sibuk dengan persiapan beberapa projek filem terbaru iaitu "Dream Girl" bersama Ayushmann Khurrana serta "Turram Khan" bersama Rajkummar Rao.
