Pembikin filem Bollywood Anil Devgan, 45, disahkan meninggal dunia akibat sakit jantung pada malam Isnin.
Berita itu telah diumumkan oleh sepupunya yang juga aktor dan pembikin filem terkenal, Ajay Devgn menerusi laman Twitter pada Selasa.
"Saya telah kehilangan adik sepupu saya Anil Devgan malam tadi. Pemergiannya yang tidak dijangka telah menghancurkan hati kami sekeluarga.
"ADFF dan saya akan merinduinya. Doakan rohnya. Kami tidak akan berkumpul untuk majlis doa kerana pandemik," tulis Ajay.
Sehubungan dengan itu, selebriti-selebriti Bollywood tampil memberi penghormatan terakhir dan ucapan takziah buat Ajay sekeluarga menerusi laman Twitter.

Terdahulu, Anil bertindak sebagai pembantu pengarah bagi filem-filem Hindi lakonan Ajay seperti "Jaan", "Itihaas" dan "Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha".
Bermula tahun 2000 hingga 2008, Anil akhirnya berjaya membuat debut sebagai pengarah, juga bagi filem lakonan Ajay iaitu "Raju Chacha", "Blackmail" dan "Haal-e-dil".
Filem terakhirnya adalah "Son of Sardaar" yang ditayangkan pada 2012, di mana Anil bertindak sebagai pengarah kreatif.
