Persekutuan Pekerja Cine India Barat (FWICE) menjangkakan tiada sebarang penggambaran filem akan bermula atau bersambung dalam masa terdekat susulan kadar kes COVID-19 di Mumbai meningkat.
Perkara itu diberitahu oleh Setiausaha Agung FWICE, Ashok Dubey, selepas bandar berkenaan telah dikategorikan sebagai zon merah baru-baru ini.
"Kami ada berhubung dengan Persatuan Seniman Cine & TV (CINTAA) baru-baru ini. Kami akan menyediakan garis panduan untuk bagaimana kami akan meneruskan sesi-sesi penggambaran.
"Orang-orang penting kami ialah para artis dan juruteknik. Kami telah berhubung menerusi persidangan video dan sedang menghasilkan draf bagi keadaan bekerja.
"Kami akan melangsungkan persidangan video sekali lagi bersama Penerbit Filem India (IMPPA), Dewan Penerbit Filem dan Televisyen India (IFTPC) dan Persatuan Penerbit Filem India Selatan bagi membincangkan keputusan seterusnya.
"Buat masa ini sebarang keputusan belum dimuktamadkan. Mumbai masih zon merah dan Perintah Berkurung dilanjutkan sehingga 17 Mei," ujar Dubey menerusi Mumbai Mirror.
Antara filem besar yang penggambarannya tergendala dan berlangsung di Mumbai ialah "Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai" lakonan Salman Khan dan "Mumbai Saga" lakonan John Abraham.
