Yoga Day 2019: Free Yoga Classes Open to Public in KL

  • 20 Jun 2019

Yoga is an ancient practice that combines the body, mind and spiritual awareness. In Sanskrit, 'yoga' means to join or to unite. It signifies the fusion of our body and consciousness.

The practice first originated from India and has gained popularity all over the world due to its immense benefits to one's physical health and mental wellbeing. Acknowledging its global popularity and health benefits, the United Nations announced 21 June as the International Day of Yoga in December 2014.

In conjunction with this year's Yoga Day, a yoga school based in Taman Desa called BKS Iyengar Yogashala (BKSIYS) is organising 3-day free yoga classes for different age groups. From kids to senior citizens, the public is invited to join the classes and learn the countless advantages of practising yoga in their daily lives. The yogashala has been been organising free yoga events and workshops for the past 10 years.

This is your chance to kickstart a new healthy lifestyle habit. Register now: BKSIYS
