A local pilot is winning netizens' hearts after posting a video of him making an in-flight announcement in flawless Tamil.

K. Siva Shankar, who is attached to local budget airline AirAsia, made the announcement in a recent flight from Langkawi, Kedah, to Johor Bahru.

He posted a video of the announcement on his Facebook yesterday, and at the time this article was written, the video has gone viral with more than 8,100 likes and over 7,200 shares.It has also garnered more than 608 comments from netizens, who unanimously praised Siva Shankar for his love for Tamil.

In the video, Siva Shankar can be heard updating the flight passengers about the plane's altitude, as well as the weather condition at the destination, among others.



Not surprisingly, the video has garnered the attention of news portals abroad, with renowned Indian media group Behindwoods highlighting the matter earlier today.

A laudable effort indeed, Siva Shankar.
