Filmmaker Thamira who made his directorial debut in 2010 with Rettaisuzhi breathed his last at a private hospital in Chennai.

The director was tested positive for Covid-19 and succumbed to death despite receiving the necessary treatments.

The director who worked as an assistant director to K Balachander and Bharathiraja is also well known for his notable work on 'Aan Devathai', a film with actor Samuthirakani and Ramya Pandian in the lead.
