Veteran actor and filmmaker T. Rajendar has travelled to the United States to receive treatment for a stomach-related ailment. Initially, he underwent treatment in Chennai, but his son - actor Silambarasan aka Simbu, urged him to move to the United States.

Simbu missed the audio launch of his eagerly-awaited film 'Vendhu Thanindhadhu Kaadu' and the film shoot of 'Pathu Thala' as he was in the United States for the last 12 days preparing for his father T. Rajendar's treatment.

T. Rajendar became emotional while speaking about Simbu's efforts to the media. He admitted being a proud dad for raising a son who is not just talented but also loves his parents.

The director also expressed gratitude to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, among others, for visiting him in the hospital during his treatment.

T. Rajendar is feeling optimistic about his health and wishes to regain his physical health. The iconic actor-director told reporters that he would reveal complete information about his health after his return.
