Actor Simbu is a prominent Kollywood hero who made his cinema debut when he was merely 6-month old. He is the son of veteran actor T Rajendar and has a huge fan base actress the globe.

Besides acting, the multi-talented actor has also worked as a playback singer, lyricist, filmmaker and music composer in the movie industry, offering immense contribution to the film industry for the past 39 years.

Simbu who was involved in many controversies throughout his career, made a massive comeback recently after going through a rigorous weight loss. The actor's latest movie 'Maanadu' became a blockbuster hit upon its release.

Now the actor is bestowed with an honorary doctorate from Vels University for his vast contribution in the field of acting, and the event will take place on 11th January 2022. Congratulations STR!
