Actor Simbu's newly released political thriller 'Maanaadu' became a blockbuster hit and received rave reviews from his industry colleagues, spectators and fans. The time-loop based movie was directed by Venkat Prabhu, produced by Suresh Kamatchi and SJ Suryah gave an extraordinary performance as the antagonist.

Now in a shocking turn of events, Simbu's father cum popular veteran actor T. Rajendhar has sent a legal notice to the movie's producer and financier in regards to the sale of Maanaadu's satellite rights.

It is stated in the notice that one day before the film's release, the financier procured a signature from TR to take responsibility for the movie's unsold satellite rights worth Rs5 crores with a condition to bear the remaining amount if the movie is sold for less than the stated amount.

The notice further stated that the movie was only allowed to release after TR agreed to the stated conditions. Now actor TR has sent a legal notice claiming that both the producer and financier of the film are attempting to sell the satellite rights of the blockbusters movie for a staggering amount without his knowledge.
