Actress Devayani was one of the top actresses in Tamil cinema in the 90s. She was famous for her roles with leading actors like Vijay, Ajith, Vikram, and Sarathkumar.

The actress fell in love with filmmaker Rajakumaran who directed her in 'Nee Varuvai Ena'. They fell in love on the set, but her family didn't approve of their relationship. The couple eloped and married in the year 2001 and have two daughters now, Priyanka and Inia.

Even after her marriage, Devayani became a big TV star playing the lead role in the Tamil TV serial 'Kolangal'. She continued to be the favourite of the TV audience for years.

Her most recent serial 'Rasaathi' was canceled on 3 April 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, she's back to rock the TV screens once again with a new serial called 'Pudhu Pudhu Arthangal' on Zee Tamil. It's extra special this time because she's pairing up with her Kolangal co-lead Abhishek Shankar.
