Like many other fields, the film industry has been hit hard by the pandemic and made theatre owners go out of business. The audience has now turned to OTT platforms which have been on the rise for many years.

Actress Namitha hopped onto the bandwagon by launching a new OTT platform called 'Namita Theatre'. Talking about the platform, she said, "I always wanted to help newcomers - both actors and directors - make their mark in the film industry. Through this platform, we will also be helping small-scale producers release their movies."

As the brand partner, Namitha also revealed that they are looking for 'a perfect date to announce the first batch of content'.

The platform's managing director Ravi Varma explained that they are planning to showcase and promote new talents who have gained experience from reputed film institutions.
