Ajith and Vijay are two Kollywood bigshots who are fondly celebrated as Thala and Thalapathy by their loyal fans.

The actors worked together in 'Rajavin Parvayile', a movie released in 1995 before they achieve greater heights in the movie industry. But that's the only movie the actors have acted together despite being in the industry for decades.

Previously both Vijay and Ajith committed in Mani Ratnam's 'Nerukku Ner', but Ajith opted out halfway and Surya got the opportunity instead. And years later, Vijay expressed that he would have loved to play Arjun's role in Ajith's 'Mangatha' after watching the movie.

According to Cineulagam, Ajith has revealed several years back that more people in the industry will get a job as movie crews if the actors work separately. However, the number of crews will be reduced if they worked together.
