Thala Ajith and Thalapathy Vijay are top Kollywood actors who have their very own massive fan following across the globe. Even though both the actors have remained good friends all these years, but their fans have always treated each other as rivals.

It was earlier said that Vijay's upcoming movie 'Beast' will be released for Ponggal 2022. Now Valimai's producer Boney Kapoor has officially announced that Valimai will hit the theatres on the same day.

Both Ajith and Vijay had their movie released together seven years ago, and now their fans can look forward to the double release in January next year.

Previously, Valimai was expected to release during Deepavali together with Rajinikanth's 'Annaatthhe' and Simbu's 'Maanadu'. This is what Boney Kapoor announced:
