Andrea Jeremiah, a well-known actress and singer, is set to play a mermaid in a yet-to-be-titled film starring Sunainaa, Munishkanth, and Indumathi.

Andrea will be portraying a mythical creature on-screen for the first time, and her fans are eager to see how she will play the character. Previously, Andrea's photoshoot as a mermaid for a calender went viral on social media.

Dinesh Selvaraj, associate director of legendary filmmaker Maniratnam, is directing the film. He previously directed Thuppakki Munai, a 2018 action-thriller starring Vikram Prabhu and Hansika Motwani.

Filming has commenced in Chennai, where a 50-lakh-rupee set has been constructed. The underwater scenes will be shot in Thiruchendur and Manappad.

The film's production is slated to complete in February 2022, with a summer release date planned.
