Meena is a South Indian actress who starred along Superstar Rajnikanth even as a child artist in Anbulla Rajinikanth.

She paired up with the actor in several hit movies including Muthu, Ejamaan, Annamalai and Veera - and will be a part of Rajini's upcoming untitled movie 'Thalaivar 168'.

In an interview, K. S Ravikumar revealed that Nagma was the first choice to play the famous Neelambari role in Padayappa, but it was Meena who bagged the role at first.

But after committing to the movie, Meena could not deliver the female villain role properly due to her innocent look. Thus, Ramya Krishnan got the role instead which became a turning point in her career.

Meena was considered for Vasundra's role next after Simran could not commit to the movie, but it was Soundarya who got the role in the end.
