The couple first met in the set of Gautham Menon's 'Ye Maaya Chesave' - the Telugu remake of 'Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya' which had Simbu and Trisha in the lead roles. It was Samantha's debut movie as a heroine, and the couple has been together ever since.
Now Samantha has turned into a leading actress in the movie industry, on par with actresses such as Nayanthara, Trisha, Keerthi Suresh, and Kajal Agarwal.
Samantha did modeling when she was pursuing an undergraduate degree in Chennai, notably working with Naidu Hall.
According to Manithan.com, the actress revealed in an interview that she even worked as a welcome girl at weddings to earn extra income.
