Bigg Boss - The Common Man Pre-Show Premieres on August 16

The wait is almost over! Vijay Television has officially announced that Bigg Boss – The Common Man, the pre-show that will select contestants for Bigg Boss Tamil Season 10, will premiere on August 16, 2026.

Unlike previous seasons, Bigg Boss – The Common Man focuses on giving ordinary people the chance to enter one of Tamil television's biggest reality shows.

Adding to the excitement, actress Maya S. Krishnan has been announced as the host. Best known for her memorable journey in Bigg Boss Tamil Season 7, where she emerged as the second runner-up, Maya now returns to guide aspiring contestants through the selection process.

Joining her on the judging panel are three familiar faces from the Bigg Boss house - Aari Arjunan, Raju Jeyamohan and Oviya.

Aari, the winner of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 4, is expected to evaluate contestants based on honesty and authenticity. Season 5 winner Raju Jeyamohan will bring his trademark humour and wit to the panel, while fan-favourite Oviya, who became a household name during Season 1, will offer encouragement and positivity to aspiring contestants.

Although the title may sound similar, Bigg Boss – The Common Man is not Bigg Boss Tamil Season 10 itself. It is a special pre-show designed to identify and select members of the public who will eventually enter the Bigg Boss house.

Bigg Boss Tamil Season 10, hosted by Vijay Sethupathi for the third consecutive year, is expected to premiere in September 2026, although an official launch date has yet to be announced.

For now, the journey begins on August 16 as ordinary Malaysians and Tamilians alike get ready to witness common people chase an extraordinary opportunity inside the Bigg Boss house.
