Her confrontations with Oviya and bittersweet friendship with Julie were unforgettable. Some even claim that it was the best season of Bigg Boss Tamil.
After her exit from the show, Gayathri was active on Twitter and never shied away from sharing her views about certain topics. Much recently, she posted a tweet indirectly supporting the imposition of Hindi as a common language in efforts to unite the country.
Here's what she posted:
That doesn’t mean we should leave our language or culture @ikamalhaasan learning is skill and good.— Gayathri Raguramm (@gayathriraguram) September 16, 2019
“India is a wonderful feast and let us eat it together. If you want to force-feed, it will go away ” -Kamalhassan, Chairman of Makkal Needhi Maiam
Banana leaf is needed for a feast. To hold us all together. We need to learn one language that connects us.
Many netizens were furious that Gayathri was supporting the imposition of Hindi as a national language. They argued that Tamil is more than a language, it's part of their culture and it's not fair to replace the language with Hindi. According to some netizens, English is already the lingua franca in many parts of the world, including India and pointed out that she tweeted her views in English as well.
