It's been two days since Kasturi Shankar entered the Bigg Boss house, and the actress seems to get along quite well with the contestants of the house.
Kasthuri who became Miss Madras in the year 1992, has worked in many Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada movies, and even acted with Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan in the movie 'Indian'.
The actress moved to Tennessee, USA after tying the knot with her husband Ravikumar, a physician based in US.
Life was good for the couple, and the actress stayed away from the limelight for over 15 years, focusing on her life and family.
She gave birth to her son Sankalp in the year 2012 and even made a daring photo shoot on the same year to create awareness in embracing motherhood - bringing out the message that having stretch marks and saggy skin is perfectly normal.
In the recent Bigg Boss S3 episode, Kathuri shared the heartbreaking yet inspiring story of her daughter Shobini, who is now a leukemia survivor.
Her daughter was just seven when she was diagnosed with leukemia, a type of cancer which affects the body's blood-forming tissues.
Shobini was hospitalized for three and a half years, and Kasthuri revealed how she didn't have proper sleep during that period and ended up having insomnia.
"I lost my parents, and my daughter was dialogized with cancer after that. It was scary and heartbreaking to see my daughter with wires and tubes attached to her," said Kasturi in an interview.
But that period made Kasthuri bold and changed her perception in a lot of things. Kasthuri's daughter who turned 13 this year is now healthy and fit. Bravo to the brave girl who endured so much pain and survived.
In the recent episode of Bigg Boss, Kasturi shared her touching story to her fellow contestant Cheran and Madhumitha and expressed how some of the contestants are wasting their tears for petty issues when life is so unpredictable out there.
