Many celebrities and artists in India are letting their creative juices flow during the lockdown period. Kamal Haasan has also done his share of the deed by penning and directing a song called 'Arivum Anbum' in collaboration with composer Ghibran and an ensemble of Kollywood celebrities.

In a tweet today, Kamal revealed the lyrics of the song and the artists who will be joining him in this effort to 'spread hope, positivity and love' amid the chaos of the COVID-19 outbreak.

Kamal also announced the release of the video on Thursday (Apr 23) at 11 am IST. Celebrities who sang the track include Anirudh, Bombay Jayashree, Yuvan Shankar Raja, actor Siddharth, Bigg Boss Mugen, Sid Sriram, Andrea Jeremiah, Shankar Mahadevan, Shruti Haasan, and Devi Sri Prasad.

Talking about the collaboration with Times of India, Kamal said, "This was truly a democratic process and each participant recorded their part themselves and none of us met. It’s a collaboration in the true sense. Since everyone shot and recorded themselves, I don’t know whom to credit cinematography to."

He admitted that this collaboration has made him feel proud of his tribe, not just locally, but internationally.

"The tribe of artistes who are doing so much. And this is just the beginning!" he expressed.

How excited are you for the song? Let us know in the comments!
