He began his career as a host on Vijay TV before becoming a hero in 'Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja' produced by Sivakarthikeyan. Rio married his long-time girlfriend Sruthi in 2017 and was blessed with a baby girl in March 2020. The baby girl turned one recently.
