Sanjeev Venkat is a wildcard contestant on Bigg Boss Tamil Season 5. The actor is well-known for his performance in the hit drama Thirumathi Selvam.

Sanjeev hails from a family that has close links to several film stars. His mother is the sister of the late actress Manjula Vijayakumar. For over 30 years, he has been a close friend of Kollywood's Thalapathy Vijay. They met in college while studying visual communications.

During a Bigg Boss task, Sanjeev recounted the heartbreaking story of how he lost his sister in 2005 and has been caring for her only daughter since then. Sanjeev's only sister, Sindhu, was also an actress who appeared in several Tamil films in supporting roles.

She's best known for her roles in Pistha, Pooveli, and Suryavamsam. Her last film was the 2005 Sarathkumar-Nayanthara starrer 'Ayya'.
