Yashika Aannand is a young actress who rose to prominence after appearing on Bigg Boss Season 2, hosted by legendary actor Kamal Haasan. She appeared in a few films before the show, including Iruttu Araiyil Murattu Kuththu and NOTA.

In July 2021, Yashika was in a devastating car accident with her friends, and her close friend Pavani died instantly due to the collision. Yashika, who was involved in the accident and suffered many injuries, had to undergo several surgeries and was bedridden for months as a result of her injuries.

The actress turned her attention to her health, fitness, and career after her recovery and became quite active on social media. Recently, She startled everyone when she announced that she was getting married to a groom chosen by her family.

"I am so happy to announce that I am getting married. My mom dad have agreed to it. It's time to settle. I love cinema. And no matter what I'll still be entertaining y'all. It's an arrange marriage. Love la set agaduu. Need all your blessings. Wedding bells around the corner (sic)," she revealed in an Instagram story.

She announced it on April 1st, Fools' Day, giving the impression that she was joking. Everyone wondered whether she was marrying for real or as a social media joke. Yashika eventually admitted that it was an April Fool's Day prank towards the end of the day!
