Actress and Bigg Boss fame Yashika Anand was recently involved in a gruesome car accident near Mahabalipuram. One of her friends in the car, Pavani died on the spot while Yashika has undergone several surgeries due to multiple fractures.

According to Indiaglitz, the police have obtained a statement from Yashika who is receiving treatment at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai. It has been confirmed Yashika didn't drive the car under the influence of alcohol.

The actress reportedly drove the car at high speed and lost control. Yashika's late friend Pavani didn't wear a seatbelt. As a result, Pavani was thrown out of the car and passed away on the spot.

The police have registered a case against Yashika and are investigating. According to Yashika's mother, the actress doesn't know the passing of her friend Pavani as it might stress her and bring complications before her surgery.
