Kani is a participant of the on-going Cooku with Comali S2 competition, who was not known to many before she entered the show.

However, Kani who hails from a family full of stars is the daughter of popular National Award-winning director Agathian, who has directed evergreen movies such as Kadhal Kottai, Vaanmathi, Gokulathil Seethai and more.

Kani, whose real name is Karthika, is also the elder sister of Bigg Boss S2 participant Vijayalakshmi - the wildcard entrant who had disputes with fellow participant Aishwarya on the show most of the time.

Besides that, Kani is also married to director Thiru who has directed famous movies such as Mr. Chandramouli, Theeratha Vilayattu Pillai and Naan Sigappu Manithan, to name a few.

Kani is now one of the strongest participants of CWC S2.
