Over 4,000 deaths are reported daily in India due to the COVID-19 infection. K-Town is hit badly because of the pandemic and many stars have fallen victims to the virus.

Supporting actor Nitish Veera who's well-known for his portrayal of Pandiyan in 'Asuran' and Dhanush's best friend in 'Pudhupettai' passed away at Chennai Omandurar Government Hospital on Monday (17 May).

The 45-year-old actor was tested positive for COVID-19 and was undergoing treatment at the hospital, but it was too late. Despite acting in very few films, his roles were memorable and he has even shared screen space with Thalaivar Rajinikanth in 'Kaala'.

Dhanush who worked with Nitish in two films shared his condolence message on Twitter. Take a look:
