Nayanthara and Samantha Akkineni are two of the top actresses riding high in Tamil cinema right now. Nayanthara is the uncrowned Lady Superstar of Kollywood while Samantha's personal and professional success have been the envy of many.
It came as a surprise when the actresses decided to work together for the first time in Vignesh Shivn's film 'Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal' with Vijay Sethupathi.
However, rumours are now suggesting that Samantha dropped out of the film because of Nayanthara. It is said that the film centers around Nayanthara's character and she dominates Samantha's role.
According to Cine Ulagam, Keerthy Suresh is believed to have been approached by the team to replace Samantha's role in the film.
There hasn't been any official confirmation on the news. Guess we'll have to wait to hear it from the director Vignesh Shivn.
