Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya, who recently got separated from actress Samantha, stated in an interview that he's reluctant to take up film roles that embarrass his family.
For the unversed, Naga Chaitanya and Samantha announced their mutual separation in October of this year. Many people were taken aback by the announcement, and speculations on the reasons for the divorce began to circulate online, with the blame primarily aimed towards Samantha.
Recently, Naga Chaitanya implicitly disclosed the likely cause for their split, months after the divorce.
"I am game for all kinds of roles. However, those roles should not affect my family and our reputation. I will not accept roles that would embarrass my family members," he said, implying that Samantha's career choices impacted their relationship with Naga Chaitanya and his family.
According to sources, Samantha's refusal to quit doing bold roles and her controversial scene in the Hindi web series 'The Family Man 2' may have been the last straw for Naga Chaitanya.
Samantha's career has soared following her divorce, and she's been making even bolder choices on the professional front. The actress will be seen performing an item number for the first time in Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa' and has signed her first foreign film.
