Thalapathy Vijay's highly anticipated 'Beast' is all set to release on the 13th April in conjunction with the Tamil New Year celebration. The movie revolves around a group of terrorists who take hostage of shoppers during a mall seige, and their clash with a spy.
Even though the movie's trailer received positive reviews from Thalapathy fans around the globe, yet the film got banned in Kuwait for allegedly linking Islam religion with terrorism. Now in a recent interview, director Nelson Dilipkumar opens up about choosing Pooja Hegde as the female lead in the film.
The director has watched Pooja Hegde's 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' film right before finalising the female lead for 'Beast', and admired the way she carried the role in that film. Besides finding her suitable for the role in 'Beast', he was also in search for a fresh face who has not worked with Vijay in the past. Thus, Pooja became the perfect choice for the role and he also praised the actress for putting in extra effort to learn Tamil language and speak her lines herself during the film shooting.
