The Bigg Boss reality TV show franchise in India was adopted from 'Big Brother', a controversial reality show developed by Endemol in the Netherlands.

Currently, there are seven regional versions of the show based on different languages: Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, and Bengali.

Bigg Boss Hindi is the first version created in India. Bollywood's massive star Salman Khan is the current host and the longest one to be part of the show. He will soon be hosting the 14th season of Bigg Boss starting from 27 September 2020. The promos are out, and fans are excited about the show!

According to Indiaglitz, Salman Khan will get paid a whopping Rs 20 crore per episode for hosting Bigg Boss Hindi 14. In total, he will be receiving Rs 450 crore!

In the previous season, his salary per episode was Rs 15 crore, but this time around, the crew is expecting more viewership since the audience is mostly at home due to the pandemic situation, hence the hike in payment.
