Famous cinematographer-turned-director KV Anand passed away earlier today at a private hospital in Chennai due to cardiac arrest. He was 54 years old.

The director reportedly experienced chest pain in the middle of yesterday night and drove his car to admit himself in the hospital. But the doctors couldn't save the filmmaker. He took his last breath at 3am in the morning today.

KV Anand is known for his films like Kana Kandaen, Ayan, Ko, Anegan and many others. Celebrities are expressing their shock and grief on social media.

The news came as a big blow for everyone in the industry, as they are still struggling to move on from the death of legendary comedian Vivek on April 17th, 2021.
