While the filmmakers focus on producing high-quality films, some of them have accidentally ended up predicting the future, or nearly predicted the events that took place in real life years later. 1. Vaayai Moodi Pesavum (Lockdown & SOP)




'Vaayai Moodi Pesavum' is a comedy film released in the year 2014 starring Dulquer Salman and Nazriya in the lead roles. The movie directed by Balaji depicts the predicaments citizens go through following a contagious virus breakout that spreads while talking. Wearing masks, sanitizing public places, lockdown, and taking vaccine shots are some of the issues that were shown in the movie that was released almost a decade before the Covid-19 pandemic that struck the world in 2019!

2. Sivaji The Boss (Demonetization)




Superstar Rajinikanth and Shreya starer 'Sivaji The Boss" was a hit movie by S.Shankar that was released in the year 2008. A fictional newspaper clipping was featured during the movie's end credit that went on to become a reality eight years later when the Government of India announced the demonetization of all Rs500 and Rs1,000 banknotes of the Mahatma Gandhi Series in 2016.

3. 7am Arivu (Bioweapon & Lockdown)




The blockbuster hit '7am Arivu' starring Surya and Shruthi Haasan was released in 2011 with references to the Bhodhidarma - the founder of Shaolin Kung Fu who traveled to China from India to contain a contagious virus. The story revolves around the spreading of a virus (bioweapon) from China that causes fatalities and the chaos that comes after.

4. Kaappan (Cauvery Delta Zone & Locust Attack)




'Kaappan' starring Suriya and Sayeessha was a movie directed by K.V Anand in 2019 that predicted two real-life events ahead. The movie portrays a locust attack that damages the crops which turns into a reality a year later. Meanwhile, similar to a scene in the film, the Tamil Nadu government declared the 'Cauvery Delta Zone' as protected agricultural land in 2020.

5. Dasavatharam (Ebola Virus & Bioweapon)




'Dasavatharam' is a hit movie written by Kamal Haasan and directed by KS Ravi Kumar. The film revolves around a scientist who tries to protect a bio-weapon after realising its potential danger and the damage it can create if it falls into the wrong hands. The actor also shed light on Ebola Virus in the 2008 movie, and the first case of Ebola was reported in India in 2014.
