Suvaluxmi is a former actress who mainly starred in Tamil films. She has done films in various other languages like Bengali, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Thala Ajith's career-defining film 'Aasai' played a huge role in kickstarting her film career. As a trained classical dancer, she was good with her expressions and landed many memorable roles. Her notable works include Aasai, Kalki, Gookulathil Seethai, Nilaave Vaa to name a few.

The former actress was known for portraying girl-next-door roles in her films. After her marriage to Professor Swagatho Banerjee, Suvaluxmi moved to the US. She stayed away from the film industry after her marriage, and rejected a role in Jayam Ravi's Santhosh Supramaniam.

Unknown to many, she is a natural artist and graduated from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco with a degree of Masters of Fine Arts in Illustration. She has an official website showcasing her portfolio of art.
