Indian movies joining the Rs100 crore club (approximately RM57 million) has became an ordinary feat these days as the quality of Indian cinema has grown drastically over the years. A new box-office club was formed in the Indian Cine diaspora years back - the Rs1,000 crore club, and these are the highly successful Indian movies that has collected more than Rs1,000 crores (approximately RM569 million) at the box office:

1. Dangal




Dangal is a 2016 Bollywood biographical sports-drama film which became the first Indian movie to ever receive over Rs1,000 box office collection. The film directed by Nitesh Tiwari featured Aamir Khan and Sakshi Tanwar in the lead roles. It is reported that the movie received a lifetime collection of Rs2,112 crores (approximately RM1.2 billion).

2. Baahubali 2




Bahubali 2 is the sequel to the 2015 hit film Baahubali, which hit the theatres in 2017. The movie directed by S.S.Rajamouli had Prabhas, Anushka, and Ramya Krishnan playing the leading roles. This bilingual film received a lifetime collection of Rs1,809 crores (approximately RM1 billion).

3. RRR - Roudram Ranam Rudhiram




RRR is an action-drama film directed by S.S. Rajamouli with N.T. Rama Rao Jr and Ram Charan in the lead roles. The movie was postponed several times due to the Covid-19 pandemic before finally hitting the theatres in 2022. The film has an estimated collection of Rs1,118 crores (approximately RM636 million) and still counting.

4.KGF: Chapter 2




KGF 2 is the highly anticipated sequal of KGF 1 that was released weeks back in 2022. The film directed by Prashanth Neel had Yash playing the stylish 'Rocky Bhai'. The film has an estimated collection of Rs1,006 crores (approximately RM572 million), and is expected to rise to the top spot very soon.
