The Tamil TV industry and her fans are still in shock due to her unexpected passing. Yesterday, Chitra's husband Hemanth was arrested by the police for abetting her suicide.
According to Behindwoods, the police revealed that Hemanth was fighting with Chitra because of her intimate scenes in her hit serial Pandian Stores.
On the night of her death, Chitra had just completed two shoots and returned to the hotel where Hemanth was also staying. It's is believed that Hemanth was in quarrel with Chitra asking who did she dance with in the shoots and left the hotel room after uttering the phrase 'Go Die'.
It was after this incident Chitra took the extreme step of taking her own life. Fans and TV celebs are still finding it difficult to accept that someone as bold and inspiring as Chithra could be led to a state of depression until she decided to end her life.
