Recently, one of the famous producers in Tamil cinema, V. Swaminathan took his last breath at a private hospital in Chennai. He was seeking treatment for the Covid-19 infection.

Swaminathan has produced films for some of the biggest actors in Kollywood like Kamal Haasan, Vijayakanth, Prabhu, Karthik, Suriya, Madhavan, Simbu, and Dhanush in the last 25 years. Besides being a producer, Swaminathan has also made many guest appearances in films.

Following his demise, actor Simbu shared an emotional statement on Twitter as the producer gave Simbu his hit film 'Silambattam'. In the statement written in Tamil, Simbu admits that he's close with the producer, and he's smart and soft-natured.

The star reminisces how Swaminathan took care of him like a brother during the shoot.
