Vignesh Shivan is a prominent film director in the industry who's currently dating Lady Superstar Nayanthara.

In an interview, the actor opens up about working with Simbu, the actor whom Nayanthara was romantically involved with previously.

"I worked with Simbu in Poda Podi movie. We shoot at 3am in the morning, and Simbu nailed the scene where he cries after losing his kid. He's an amazing artist," said the director.

He further added that Simbu asked for 30 minutes to mentally prepare for the scene, and cried naturally during the shooting.

Poda Podi was released in the year 2012, and Sarathkumar's daughter Varalakshmi made her debut as a heroine in the movie.
