The actress made her movie debut as a heroine in the 2010 film 'Ye Maaya Chesave', which she played with her then-colleague now-husband, Naga Chaitanya. The couple fell in love at the movie set and got married seven years later.

Samantha's sudden move gave rise to many speculations about divorce from her husband Naga Chaitanya. However, the actress didn't address any of the rumours. Instead, it is believed that she went on to buy a huge land in Goa with her husband to build a farmhouse.
