Tomorrow is the New Year, and Astro asked your favourite RAAGA hosts about their plans to usher in 2022. This is what they said:
What are your plans to celebrate the New Year?
Ahila: It's going to a low-key, intimate celebration at home.
Revathy: As usual, I will be celebrating this new year with my family members, with some special prayers at home.
Uthaya: I'm planning to visit some flood victims while offering them some help. I'm also looking forward to spending some valuable time with them.
Kogulan: I plan to return to my hometown and celebrate the new year with my family members, something I have not done in some time.
How is this year's New year celebrations going to be different for you, compared to the previous years?
Ahila: I am currently a part of a TV shoot, and I expect the shoot today will go on until midnight, so I look forward to welcoming the new year with the entire crew at the shooting location. I have never experienced this before, so it is going to be very exciting for me.
Revathy: We are welcoming this new year after having a series of lockdowns. Thus, it is going to be special for me as I will be ushering in the new year with my family members after a year.
Uthaya: It's going to be more meaningful this time around, as last year was not merry due to COVID-19.
Kogulan: I celebrated the last new year at Kajan due to the COVID-19 lockdown. However, this new year is going to be awesome for me as I will be welcoming it with my family, cousins and relatives at my hometown.
Any tips for celebrating a safe new year, amid the pandemic and floods?
Ahila: I am planning to just stay home, and perhaps order some food, and watch a good movie with family. This is because COVID-19 is still around and many of our countrymen are still suffering from the aftermath of the recent floods. It is best to avoid crowded places at all costs.
Revathy: I would suggest celebrating the new year at home safely, while avoiding going for vacations at the moment, as we are still encountering floods nationwide. I also encourage everyone to eat healthy home-cooked food.
Uthaya: Please stay at home and ensure that safety measures are in place.
Kogulan: Many people are still revovering from the recent floods nationwide. My prayers goes out to those affected and I hope the situation will improve soon. I would also like to extend my heartfelt condolences to those who lost their family members and loved ones in the tragedy.
Please share your New Year 2022 message/greetings to fans.
Ahila: I am someone who welcomes every new year without having big goals or with high expectations. I prefer to go with the flow. But being positive is always the best choice. Thus, I wish all of you a positive year and a Happy New Year.
Revathy: I wish all RAAGA fans a very Happy New Year. Please keep in mind that a healthy life is a wealthy life and do spend some quality time with your family members while saving some money for your future, as we never know what the future holds for us.
Uthaya: May 2022 bring in lots of peace and prosperity. 2020 and 2021 gave us lots of lessons. Let’s apply those lessons in 2022 for a fruitful year ahead.
Kogulan: Happy New Year to all our RAAGA listeners and family. Its the beginning of my 4th year as part of the RAAGA family. I thank everyone for their continuous support and love throughout these years.
