Samantha Ruth Prabhu's career has taken off since her surprising divorce from Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya, with whom she had been married for four years. But there's no denying how tough the actress's situation must have been.

At a recent event, Samantha spoke about how she survived a "tough phase" in her life with the help of friends and counselors. The actress emphasized the need of seeking professional mental health care. She acknowledged that there is peer pressure to portray a "perfect" lifestyle on social media, but that "no one's life is perfect."

Samantha remarked, "We live in an increasingly stressful world where there is so much focus, whether it is on social media, on portraying perfect lives," during an event to launch the 'Psychiatry At Your Doorstep' project of Roshini Trust and Datla Foundation on Saturday.

According to Samantha, it's getting more difficult to discuss our flaws, our anguish, and our anxieties.

“I have gone through a difficult time in my life and asked for help. I have sought help from my friends and counsellors and that has made a huge difference in my life. If I am sitting here today, strong and ready for the next part of my life, it is not just because I was strong but it is because many people around me helped me to be strong,” she added.
