Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who was admitted in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital in a critical condition has passed away at the age of 92. The singer was diagnosed with Covid-19 and pneumonia, and was given weeks of treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) before breathing her last today.

Referred as the 'Nightingale of India', Lata Mangeshkar started singing at the age of 13 and has lent her voice to thousands of songs in 36 languages in a career span of almost eight decades.

The incredible singer was also awarded with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1989 and Bharat Ratna Award in 2001. She was also honoured with the Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan, besides winning multiple National Awards.
