Recently, Illayaraja's live concert was held in EVP Film City. The event was graced by luminaries like S.P Balasubramaniam, K.J Yesudas, Mano, and a few other prominent playback singers.
This was the first time Illayaraja and S.P Balasubramaniam shared the stage, after their much-publicized fallout due to copyright disagreements. Thus, it should definitely have been a night to remember for their fans.
However, a video from the event that is going viral, shows the maestro losing his cool at a security guard who got on to the stage to provide water to the thirsty musicians. Illayaraja, however, was not convinced with the explanation by the security guard, who then fell at the music director's legs to apologise.
Following that, Illayaraja went on ranting about how some people paid Rs500 for the ticket, but ended-up conquering the place allocated for the people who purchased Rs10,000 ticket.
Besides condemning their actions, the music director went on to say his fans are living by listening to his songs and that such interference by the security personnel disrupted the show.
What could have been an amazing night is now gaining attention for all the wrong reasons! Check out the video here:
