Renowned local Indian artiste Sha Zovve will be launching his debut EP album after rebranding himself as Shesha, later this month.

The album, titled Bintang, is released by Bimasakti Records and will be launched digitally on all streaming platforms on Dec 25, 2020.

For the uninitiated, Shesha, whose real name is Patrick Namasivayam Seshasahi, has previously worked on Villavan: The Vigilante (2018) and Proverbs 11:14 (2016). He started his career with Hip Hop music, and later diversed into film music, jingles and video production.

Speaking about Bintang, Shesha said that it was named as such to remind everyone that there is still light and hope to be shared around in the world, amid the gloomy outlook of the COVID-19 pandemic.

"Although I learnt a lot of things over many years in the industry, there was always this guilty feeling that I did not finish what I started.

"The right time and opportunity came amidst this COVID-19 pandemic and I quickly grabbed it," Shesha said in a press release.

"Bintang EP is the first step that I am taking to share my light with the world."

The album, which has three tracks, titled Bintang, Raqqi, and Samba Swag, is supported by the Ministry of Communications & Multimedia, Malaysia. It will also feature renowed local artistes Darkkey, Balan Kash and Simha.
