Astro has been entertaining all viewers with its special pop-up Channel 242, dedicated to Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan, throughout January.

Here are the seven movies of the multi-talented actor that will entertain you at 9pm from Monday (Jan 11) to Sunday (Jan 17).

Jan 11: Kadhala Kadhala

A comedy entertainer involving two orphaned friends (Kamal and Prabhu Deva), both named Lingam. Hilarity ensues when their identities get mixed up among their respective girlfriends and their families.

Jan 12: Vazhvey Maayam

This movie tells of Raja (Kamal) and Devi (Sridevi) who fall in love and get engaged. However, when Raja learns that he has cancer, he hides the diagnosis from Devi, calls off the engagement, and goes extreme lengths to get her to distance herself from him.

Jan 13: Singaravelan

This 1992 comedy entertainer is about Velan who sets out to the city to find his cousin, whom his mother has asked to marry to reunite their separated family. However, hilarity ensues when all Velan has, to find his long-lost love in a big city, is a photograph of her when she was four-years-old!

Jan 14: Hey Ram

Saketh Ram's wife is raped and killed during direct action day riots at Calcutta. He is convinced that Mahatma Gandhi is responsible for all the problems happening in the country and sets out to kill him.

Jan 15: Panchatanthiram

This K.S. Ravikumar-helmed comedy entertainer is about Ram, whose friends hire a Maggie, a call girl, to help him get over his wife after she mistakenly believes him to be a philanderer. However, trouble and comedy ensures when Maggie ends up "dead".

Jan 16: Michael Madana Kamarajan

Kamal plays quadruplets separated at birth by circumstances. One of the brothers end up with their biological father, while the three others find new homes. Things take a hilarious turn after they meet each other.

Jan 17: Nammavar

Selvam, the new vice-principal of a college, tries to transform the behaviour of troublemaking students, while fighting an inner war.
