Ulaganayan Kamal Haasan needs no introduction. He is a famous actor, director, scriptwriter, producer, playback singer, lyricist, choreographer, dancer, philanthropist and now, he has evolved into a politician.

Beginning his career at the age of 4, Kamal has stood the test of time and survived in the cinema industry for over six decades - a feat his fellow actors and actresses have failed to achieve.

We know Kamal as a versatile actor who can ace any role given to him, a person who will work hard to bring the given character to life with such dedication and determination. That's what we love the most about him.





We have seen how Kamal grew on-screen. He was 4 years old when he made his first film appearance in 1960's Kalathur Kannama, and he was last seen in Vishwaroopam 2 in 2018, aged 64. His next project is Indian 2 by S Shankar.

After spending a whopping 65 years in the cinefield, Kamal finally swore in as a Rajya Sabha MP. It's nothing new for movie actors/actress to step into politics in India. Some of Tamil Nadu's prominent Chief Ministers begin their journeys from the movie industry. Among them were MGR, Jeyalalitha and Karunanithi who ended up ruling for many years.





Kamal and Super Star Rajnikanth were eventually expected to don the political mantle, but Kamal's decision to finally jump into the political arena suprised many. Even Kamal once remarked that he should got into politics earlier.
