Anchor Dhivyadharshini or more fondly known as 'DD' recently completed her 20-year journey in the TV industry. The famous anchor was honoured at the Galatta Nakshatra Awards 2019 with a special award.

Her long-time close friend and director Rajkumar presented the award to DD, making her emotional.

"It's very special, receiving this from Rajkumar. We've known each other for 15 years. There's 5 of us and when I'm with them, they are my biggest support, emotional anchors," DD said.

On another note, DD revealed that she had missed her childhood and teenage days as she began anchoring at a young age. She was required to make mature decisions at such a young age and now that all her responsibilities have been looked after, she feels young again.

Talking about her secret to success, DD gave all the budding talents in the TV industry a piece of advice.

"I've had my fair share of hardships and losses in life. You all know. It's okay. Marriage can break, relationships can break. But, the secret to success is no matter what happens, where it's good or bad, if you wake up every morning and go to work on time, nobody can take away your quality of work," DD explained.

In 2014, DD got married to her long-term friend and assistant director Srikanth Ravichandran. Her marriage to Srikanth, however, didn't last long as the couple got divorced in the year 2017.
